The 2018 Alumni Weekend featured a distinguished panel of Political Science graduates who reflected on how their time at Johns Hopkins launched them on a successful path in government, academia, and media. Panelists included Michele Swers (BA 1993), Professor of Government at Georgetown University; Jamie Eldridge (BA 1995), Senator for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (Middlesex and Worcester); Hallie Jackson (BA 2006), NBC News Chief White House Correspondent; and Marc Goldwein (BA 2007), Senior Vice President and Senior Policy Director, Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.

At the conclusion of the panel, Hallie Jackson was presented with the Political Science Department Alumnus Achievement Award, recognizing undergraduate alumni who have earned distinction in their chosen field or profession.
