We are delighted to share the news that one of our graduate students, Joseph Becker, won the General Larry D. Welch Deterrence Writing Award sponsored by U.S. Strategic Command (STRATCOM), for his article, “Strategy in the New Era of Tactical Nuclear Weapons,” that appeared in the Spring 2020 edition of STATEGIC STUDIES QUARTERLY.

 We are also happy to report that Joe has been selected as the US Defense Attache in Afghanistan, a position he will take up following his thesis defense this Fall.
